Wunderbar Nail Education
How do I properly remove my nail enhancements at home if I can't go into the salon?
Step 1: Use a 180- grit file to file off the topcoat of the nail and create grooves to help with soaking.
Step 2: Fill glass with 100% pure acetone. *TIP* If you have two glass bowls (one of which that can sit in the other) fill the bigger one with warm water and sit the acetone bowl in this. The heat from the warm water will help speed up the chemical reaction.
Step 3: Soak fingertips in acetone for 10 minutes. *TIP* If you have extremely dry skin or if you want to help with moisture you can coat your skin NOT THE NAILS with aquifer to protect it.
Step 4: Use a cuticle pusher to scrape off product and repeat steps
3-4 if necessary until natural nail is spotted.
Step 5: Buff nails using a 180+ grit file only.

How long do Wunderbar Nails Last?
Nails are jewels and not tools!
How long they last is a lot up to the person wearing them. I have had clients come back after 6+ weeks with all nails in tact, no lifting, or gem loss while others can break a nail in a week. If you do break a nail (1-2) due to whatever reason within 1 week of your appointment I will fix it for you free of charge. But if you have repeat problems I do have a fee for touchups.
That being said:
Acrylic Sets Average 3-4 weeks
Gel-x Sets Average 2-4 weeks

How many Fill-ins can I Get?
I recommend doing fill ins as much as possible. A fill-in every 2-3 weeks is ideal to keep up with nail extensions. We should stick to 3-4 full soak off removals per year to keep your nails healthy. Some tips to prevent nail lifting:
1) Avoid Intense Heat and be especially careful within the first 24 hours
2) Use cuticle oil daily
3) Wear rubber gloves when washing up or avoid submerging nails in water for large periods of time
4) Wash your hands after handling suncream, chlorine, or other harsh chemicals.
5) Don't pick at your natural nail growth underneath!
How do I book a same time service?
Unfortunately we can't book same time services online due to fluctuation in the time it takes each technician to finish a service. Please send us a message or call us to book a service at the same time.

What is builder gel?
Builder gel is a thick, durable nail enhancement product used to build, strengthen, and extend natural nails. Unlike regular gel polish, builder gel has a thicker consistency that allows it to create structure and add length, making it ideal for anyone looking to reinforce weak nails or achieve natural-looking extensions. It hardens under a UV or LED lamp and can be applied directly to natural nails, nail tips, or forms.
One of the main benefits of builder gel is its strength and flexibility—it provides a durable finish that’s less likely to crack compared to acrylics while maintaining a glossy, natural appearance. Many formulas are soak-off or file-off, depending on the brand, making removal easier than traditional acrylics. The application process involves prepping the nails by cleaning, filing, and removing oils, applying a base coat if needed, then layering the builder gel in thin coats and curing each layer under a lamp. After curing, the nails can be shaped and refined before finishing with a top coat for shine and protection.
Compared to other systems like acrylic or polygel, builder gel stands out for its flexibility, minimal odor, and natural finish. While acrylics air-dry and tend to have a stronger odor, builder gels cure under a lamp and offer a smoother, glossier result. They also provide more flexibility and are less likely to cause damage to the natural nail if applied and removed properly. Overall, builder gel is a versatile option that works well for strengthening natural nails or creating durable extensions.
What is Gel-X?
Gel-X extensions are a type of soft gel nail enhancement that use pre-shaped full-coverage tips made entirely of gel. Unlike traditional acrylic or hard gel extensions, Gel-X is applied by adhering these gel tips directly to the natural nail using a layer of gel, which is then cured under a UV or LED lamp. This creates a lightweight, flexible, and natural-looking extension that’s strong but easier to remove than acrylics—typically soaking off like gel polish. Gel-X extensions are popular because they’re quicker to apply, have no harsh odors, and don’t require filing or sculpting, making them a cleaner and more convenient option for achieving long, uniform nails.
